FESTIVAL SOUND FINISH

Cream Play.png

Professional sound finishing for short films heading to festivals.

Not every short needs a complete rebuild of its soundtrack. Sometimes the biggest improvement comes from fixing the dialogue, strengthening one difficult scene, adding a few key Foley moments or giving the final mix more polish.

With Festival Sound Finish, you tell us your film length and available budget. We review the film, identify where the sound will benefit most, and agree how your booked time should be used before work begins.

£40 per hour, minimum 4 hours.

30 minutes maximum runtime.

How it Works

1. Send us your film.

Provide a preview link, runtime and a little information about the project.

2. Tell us your available budget.

Rather than forcing your film into a fixed package, we work backwards from the amount you're comfortable spending.

3. We review the soundtrack.

Hatiwave identifies the areas where the available hours are likely to make the greatest difference.

4. We agree the priorities.

Before work begins, you'll receive a clear plan showing how we recommend using the booked time.

5. We get to work.

Once the booked time has been used, we stop. If we identify additional work that could benefit the film, we’ll let you know, but the decision to book any further time is always yours. We also won’t deliberately leave an agreed piece of work half-finished. If we begin a scene or priority area because we reasonably expect to complete it within the booked time, but it runs slightly beyond that allowance, Hatiwave will finish that agreed piece of work at no additional charge. Any new areas or additional improvements beyond the original priorities will always be discussed with you first.

11,480 short films were submitted to Sundance in 2026.
54 were selected.

More than 7,000 shorts were submitted to Palm Springs International ShortFest in 2026.
329 were programmed.

Great sound won’t guarantee festival selection, but when competition is this strong, every department matters. If the film is already shot and edited, sound is one of the final areas you can still meaningfully improve before submission.

Give your film every opportunity.

Need something different? Every project can be tailored.
